I’m sure she’ll be too modest to post this herself, but our own Sora has won herself a Daesan Translation Grant, along with the aforementioned sassy Brother Anthony and more…

The always sagacious Brother Anthony reminded everyone in his acceptance speech on behalf of the translator grantees that, “Publishing is much harder than translating.” True, that. [Insert soapbox here] Get reading everyone!

Hello, and please welcome subjectobjectverb to the noise continuum!

This blog is dedicated, but not limited to, information and commentary on literature, film, culture, and its transmission from Korea and Asian America. It is a collaborative effort beginning with three (mastered!) translators of Korean literature, all with backgrounds in Korean studies. This makes us think we are entitled to say some things about all of the above.
